Hi,
size is actually difficult to judge in the field in many cases. HOWEVER :) The foliage is obviously an evergreen of some sort- possibly leilandii- Therefore the bird is much too large to be a warbler.
Note the heavy bill with yellowish base, the contrasting grey rump and lack of eyering.

Ok, well I'm going to bite the bullet and say female ring ouzel although I'm probably WAY off the mark!! Lol! It was my initial thought but is even more so after Seymouraves clues!

Dark-throated Thrush! poss black can't see important bit! I think!!!
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.

My word H McH, I'm impressed. I would never have got even close to that.
There have been reports on BirdGuides of a Black-throated Thrush in Yorkshire. I've just had a look at some of the photos and I think you could be right.

Yes John! That must be it! Just Googled it and it looks right!
Hi John
Interesting answer with the Dark Throated Thrush
A Female blackbird came to my mind due to the shape of the bill and the colouration too.

Kathy and Dave
it's NOT a dark throated thrush :)))
Dark Throated Thrushes are very rare are they not?
They look a bit like Field Fares
Still sticking with my Female Blackbird
