I saw this largish BOP on Sunday at Lodmoor. It was quite high up hovering above the reedbeds. I couldn't see any detail because I was almost looking straight up into the sun but I wondered if any of you clever people out there are able to ID from a silhouette? Sorry for the poor photos.

Thank you. Apparently it's owner had been trying to tempt it down by offering meat over several hours but it was obviously happy in the tree and couldn't be bothered to move. ;-)
I went out with my camera yesterday to look for hares but didn't find any. I know they are there but I need to get the timing right. A local had seen them the previous day at about the same time of day but the fields are huge and they could have been anywhere! Better luck next time.
Hope you get to see them soon SB! I see mine at around 8.00 am. Got some more boxing yesterday! (pics on Flickr...)
