Hi everyone, I saw this bird hanging about outside my Garden, am I right in thinking it might be a Greenfinch, could be totally wrong, would just like putting right if I am wrong.
There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.
Hi Bishy-barney-bee, I'm no expert but it looks like a greenfinch, they are getting scarse around hear. I had some with the disease before Christmas and since then I have only seen the odd one or two. Great action pic as it lauches itself off the wire, landing gear still down.
I'm always look forward to seeing the wonderful green of the leaf buds coming into life you don't see any other time of year and the first swallow around the 15th April. Spring, Spring Spring.
Haha I love the first photo!
Yes, it is a greenfinch :-)

Hi BBB,
Sorry, but your photo has disappeared. So have some others on other threads. I've just re-loaded one of mine.
Cheers, Linda.

I can see this one. Something/ someone has made them all visible now.
Your first photo, looks like the bird is trying a 'free fall' to me, BBB. We have greenfinch here, but they do keep the other finches and tits off the feeders.

Thanks everyone for that.
Sparrow I can't see the pictures anymore. lol
Brenda whatever they have done isn't working for me, it's strange sometimes the pictures are there and somtimes there not.
Now I'll keep my fingers crossed in the hope I'll get some greenfinch visiting now I know they are in the area.
Sorry BBB, but I still can't see them.

Never mind, at least I know it is a greefinch now, your not missing much, the bird looks tiny in the middle of the photographs, couldn't zoom in any closer, with it sitting against the sky like it was, I couldnt make out its colour properly just the flashes of yellow down it's side, which made me think it might be a Greenfinch. If he starts coming in the garden I'll get some better pictures of him and put them up. Though you probably won't be able to see those either LOL !!
Hi BBB
it looks like the gremlins are back, eating up photo's and posts!!!
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Well, congratulations anyway on your greenfinch. You must be pleased.
