Hi all
This bird visits my garden on a fairly regular basis unless it is chased away by the Pied Wagtail.
I think it's a Grey Wagtail but still in it's winter colours because it doesn't have a black throat.
Am I correct?
Thanks and Best wishes Chris

Welcome to the Wags club!!!!! It certainly is. There are a few photos of my regular in my gallery if you want to compare.
p.s. It might be a female... Buzzard will know one way or the other.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Lucky girl Woodpecker. Very nice photo.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Chris, yes you are correct. A Grey Wagtail it is.
In Winter both sexes have similar plumages and sexing can be difficult.
In the breeding season the male has a Black Throat, but caution is needed as some females can have a very black throat.

Hi Squirrel, Buzzard & Sparrow :-)
Thanks for your help everybody. He or she is really pretty as long as the manic Pied Wagtail isn't around.
Best Wishes Chris
Hi Woodpecker
Another lovely shot - well done you on the Wagtail, I like the colours.

Lovely shot and how nice to have one in the garden

Hello Chris, lovely photograph. Never had one in our garden. Very jealous.
Hi,
a winter plumage Grey Wagtail and with that much yellow on the underparts it's probably a male
