*a little bit worried I am asking identification on a chunky sparrow*
I am new to the forum so I hope I am posting this in the right spot! Hello everyone!
Recently moved to a house with a garden and have been loving the birds! Mainly different flavours of sparrows and tits but had a visitor today I did not recognise. Would anyone be able to identify it? My guess is a plain looking greenfinch but I am really not sure! It's definitely a bit bigger than the tree sparrow (as you can see in one of the pictures). Central belt of Scotland, if that matters!
Thanks a lot already :)
Looks like two in the first shot and another in the third along with a Tree Sparrow! (Didn't realise they were two shots, same bird)
It is indeed a greenfinch. The juveniles and females are duller in plumage than the males.
Thank you both for your reply! Fun having another visitor :)
