Hi I have a baby starling in my garden.. I have left alone for about 4 hours and there is no mum or dad feeding it. I have put it in a big basket for now. It’s not calling out or even trying to fly away. any advice would be great
I think that if you have shrubs or bushes that the bird can hide under, you should put the bird back out and not be in a basket. The parents will be about, assuming nothing has happened to them both, hopefully they will hear the chick and feed it.
