Are all Nyger seeds equal? I moved to this house last year, after getting some Nyger seeds the goldfinches turned up, a pair and their family at least, maybe more. They got through the Nyger seed over the winter so I bought a big sack, thinking economy. The birds have gradually stopped coming (only used the seed about 3-4 times): now none! I have now bought some more from my original supplier and have my fingers crossed. Is this down to quality of seed, and if it is, how do I know what I’m getting?
