Safe To Feed Suet Pellets During Nesting Season

Hi all

As nesting season is just around the corner i just wanted to find out whether it's safe to put out suet pellets during nesting season.

I get a lot of Blue Tits and a Robin in my garden and they seem to like the suet pellets.  I'm worried that if they take a suet pellet back to the nest the chicks will choke on it.

I always put out peanuts in a peanut feeder to prevent birds from taking a whole peanut back to the nest and feeding them to the chicks.

I'm not sure about suet pellets though, are suet pellets safe to put out during nesting season or is it best to wait until nesting season is over and then put them out?

Thanks for any advice on this.

Dave
