Hello Laon, the only thing I could suggest is that you have hanging feeders, in trees and shrubs and throw some feed onto an area away from the feeders, that way the pigeons can have ground feed and the wee birds can come to the feeders. Good luck.

Thanks Catlady, but unfortunatly there is a bit of a rat problem so putting food on the floor is not a good idea, and there are no places to hang feeders from. but thanks for the reply.
Hi laon, the best solution may be to have something like this which will allow smaller birds in but not others, however if you have rats in the area you would have to add a baffle like this one to the bird table post to prevent the rats from climbing up. I use a guardian cage and baffle as we have a lot of grey squirrels and wood pigeons; the pitched roof cage is the only one which keeps the squirrels out.

You're very welcome; although it can be an expensive addition, it should do the trick and save you money on bird food in the long term.
