It's been a heck of a long time since I posted here so please forgive me my absence. I'm hoping you guys can put me right.
I've just discovered that my Solomon Seal plants are being devoured by the larvae of these creatures. My question is: advice is to remove the larvae from the plants. I don't want to use chemicals. Rather than dispatch them in a kindly manner is it worthwhile me spreading them around the area where the birds feed? I do this if I discover vine weevil larvae so am hoping the birds would enjoy these too. There aren't many birds around right now. Sparrows mostly and the occasional great tit so not sure if those particular birds would appreciate them.
Thanks in advance. Angie.
