For some reason this year we are seeing a number of Mistle Thrushes around our environs. During February and March I saw groups of up to six at a time.
We have never had as many about. Now I am getting a regular pair visiting my garden and actually coming right onto our patio a few feet away from our patio door!
Don't remember ever seeing them up so close and always assumed they were very nervous shy birds. They are strikingly handsome and so much bigger than you imagine seeing them from a distance. They chase the Blackbirds away easily and are beginning to dominate the lawn!
I have only recently started putting out Dried Mealworms. Could that be the attraction into the garden at least?
