Robins asking for food

Ok, this is my first time on here and I don't know very much about birds. It started when a pair of Robins started hanging around the patio doors during our breakfast, so I gave them some flapjack (the sort for kids that is just fruit and oats so no added sugar). Then over the last few weeks they started coming each meal time which has now increased to whenever they notice we're in the kitchen! It's lovely having them visit but the increased frequency has me worried that I'm doing the wrong thing, especially as I'm unsure if the flapjack is ok for them to eat. I only give them a few crumbs ask know they should be eating other stuff too. Also, I think they may nest close by and it could be damaging to their babies if they feed them flapjack. They do seem to love it so much! Any robin experts out there to advise please?
