It must be lovely to have Robins at your back door!
Have you tried giving the Robins something else to eat?
Dried mealworms (or live) are a favourite.
Soaking dried mealworms is also a good idea if the Robins feed them to their young.
It's not always easy to hug a hedgehog.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't.
It is lovely and they are my favourite bird..........those toddler flapjacks aren't cheap so that's how much I like them!
I haven't tried anything else apart from cheese, but they didn't seem too interested in that.
Do I have to go to a pet shop for mealworms or are they sold in supermarkets too?

Have to report that my two Robins visit the sunflower heart hanging feeder several times each day now, most unusual, they must have become desperate or addicted!! More unusual is that a couple of the Dunnocks also do the same!

Diane, they do have to be quick as the resident blackbird often swoops in from the back of the garden.
It's been really nice for my 2 year old who likes to come and tell me 'tweet tweet' when she spots them waiting :-)
Thanks. I have a sunflower seed feeder so I must look more closely as to whether the robins ever feed from it. Maybe they just 'hoover' up the ones that have dropped.
Fab for your little kiddie to see them feeding close to the house.
As Clair had said she was not a bird watcher and did not take much notice of them in the garden but had been interested in the robins, my suggestion for the feeders was that it would encourage other birds and hopefully give her different ones to see. It was not meant to read that robins would feed from feeders, although some feedback tells otherwise. I must have ticked the verified answer box by mistake. Oops.

We do have the problem or deterring foxes, squirrels and mice though.......but I'm sure there are plenty of threads on here about that subject!
