Hi LS, I have a GT & BT visiting regularly as I have berry suet pellets in a small feeder! My Spadger flock & Dunnocks also love them as does the Robin ... not forgetting the noisy Starlings, of course! When the weather gets colder, say late October, then I shall re-introduce the home made pastry & increase the amount of suet pellets ... other than that it's mixed seed & peanuts, I didn't put any out for about six months 'cos they got left & went rancid but all the birds think they're great again now!

I've had a constant stream of tits, sparrows, starlings, robins and a woodpecker to my peanut feeder though out the summer. It gets neglected when I start to put out other food but there is always something when the birds come. It's more popular on wet or damp days when insects are harder to find.
Wendy's right; I don't put any other food out until the natural autumn food is gone.
Great, thanks for the replies! :)
