Well you certainly have mine CW & Wife! I too have come unstuck with miserable neighbours who reported me to landlords for feeding Pigeons, amongst all the other birds, & Gulls ... well, we never have Gulls here as there is a resident pair of Kestrels plus lots of other Corvids! The outcome was that the landlords said that they could not ban me from feeding birds but to tone it down a bit in the interest of keeping the neighbours happy!! What a laugh, these miserable people no longer speak to me. & is not nice being snubbed all the time but I have decided I prefer the company of my birds. I only use a few hanging feeders now which means I no longer see Woodies or Collared Doves. It was mainly sparked off with a natural explosion in Wood Pigeon numbers for which I cannot be held personally responsible!
I do understand how upset & edgy you both feel but it would be worse if you gave in to these poor people who have no appreciation of the world around them! Thanks for listening

Mine too, aren't some people strange. We had a bit of bother with neighbours when we fed birds on hanging feeders close to house, o'h what a lovely lot of different birds I could see from my kitchen window. Then rats were mentioned, and indeed appeared, so my feeders had to be moved, but I hasten to add that only to the top of the garden, I still feed the birds, just don't have the lovely close up that I used to.
Keep feeding, it will only be a short time before people have something else to moan about and you will be able to carry on as before.
Lot to learn
I'd contact the council and tell them that the neighbours actions posting photos of your property on facebook and him receiving comments such as "shoot the neighbours" has caused your wife a great deal of distress and fear, and point out her circumstances having MS and how much she enjoys watching the birds as she can't get out much. The neighbours behaviour is totally inapproriate and really shows that he is too scared and unreasonable to stand up and speak to you about feeding the birds himself so he has to do it behind your back and get someone else to do his dirty work for him.
