Feeding and preening

Aren't they cute, I was standing only a few yards away too. Could be a young dunnock? Having a lovely preen Smelling the flowers!! Stretching before deciding what to do next.   I was inside for these as I didn't want to disturb him/her so excuse the dirty windows.lol

Hope you enjoyed

  • It's a wonderful time of year with all the youngsters about. I think you are right, it looks like a young Dunnock in the last photos.

  • Thanks MC, I thought it was possibly a youngster but only due to it being so fluffy!!

Thanks TJ, it takes a lot of time these days just looking out at all the goings on in the garden, don't know where the time goes anymore.

Hazy you can swap me a couple of your LTT's for a few sparrows any day, we can afford at least a few out of the many here.lol

LOL,  I would but haven't seen them for months,  they tend to spend the whole autumn/winter here and then disappear to more suitable nesting areas during March/April  - sometimes I hear them around but never see them until the Autumn.

  • I hear them at the end of our country lane, but catch glimpses of them flitting from tree to tree, seldom coming in the garden.
