Thank you Jim. Looks like I will have to settle for posting just the one photo. Not that anyone seems interested in it anyway lol. I thought I had taken quite a nice pic anyway, and it's not everyday u get the chance to be so close to tawny chicks. Never mind thanks again
Sadly I’m away tomorrow for a week so might not be able to get a connection to the net but I will try :)
Like Alan, says when its nice as it has been lots of people are out and about so don’t feel you have been ignored you haven’t and I hope Alan, can give you an update on the uploading of your pictures.
Regards Jim
Hello Lee,
I am an example that what Alan and James say is true: I had a few days off this week and have been out and about a lot, so in the evenings I was busy with posting my own pictures, but did not look for much else. So I have just discovered your very pretty little Owls. They seem to have been well-hidden, so I can imagine that you were very happy to get a picture. Unfortunately I, too, have no idea how old they might be.
Kind regards, Bente
Thank you everyone!! And yes understandable people been out and about with this lovely weather!! I could of done with a tripod at hand as it's so difficult to keep a steady hand especially with the shutter speed been so slow with not much light getting through the trees. Don't no if this pic could be improved by anyone with the correct technology I would love to see if it's possible?
Cute :) I'd say they're in the region of nine weeks old. They have full wing feathers but still have mesoptile (second set of baby down) plumage on most of their bodies, but you can see (if you lighten up the photo) the dark lines of a few adult-type feathers appearing on their fronts.
