Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Hello Kain and welcome from me too (I am in Cheshire); It just goes to show that with a little ingenuity you can attract birds on to your window feeding dish and enjoy the pleasure from seeing them, very well done, that is a lovely photo of the Goldfinch and I look forward to hearing about your next bird visitor and photo !

Hi Kain, from me in Edinburgh. I joined the community quite recently and it's great. Better than Facebook by far! Well done with the Goldfinches, I've had a Chaffinch in my garden but he was put off by the noisy House Sparrows and the Greenfinches make the occasional appearance but never and Goldfinches.
P.S. If there's one thing I've learnt about the community, it's that everyone loves pictures :)

Blog Flickr and I have a youtube channel but not updated much.
Love seeing Goldfinches flying round here and wish they realised I had a feeder full of nyjer waiting for them. Love the enthusiasm coming through in your post as well.
Thanks for the welcome all :)
I do have a tiny garden than I feed the birds in, but sadly I cant see whos on it from my windows. At the moment we have starlings mobbing it everyday (I have 3 nests in the eaves of my roof) little fellas wake me up around half 5 every morning trilling! Not that I mind of cause!
The window feeders are always a hive of activity. Robins, Starlings (keeps my window cleaner in business I'm sure!), Blue tits, black birds and even had a GSW on the suet feeder attached to the window with suction cups! The joys of living on the edge of Bridgnorth is a stone throw from my flat is the open countryside. Star of the show so far in my 6ft square garden is a treecreeper. I only have a single Hawthorn tree in my yard lol. Here he is.
