Over the last few days I have seen a few Long Tailed Tits in and amongst the trees at the bottom of the garden, on the odd occasion a couple of them have investigated my feeders but they was obviously not happy with what they had to offer as they just left without tucking in.
I currently have Suet balls and Sunflower hearts,
I was just wondering if there is a particular food source I could provide for them and encourage these beautiful little birds to the feeding station.
Kind regards
Richard.

Thanks Alan, I wouldn't have ever thought of uncooked pastry but looking at Hazy's fabulous photos it definitely seems to be the dish of choice for LTT's.
I just need to learn how to make pastry now.
"GOOGLE! how to make pastry?" lol
Hi SpottingScope; just use plain flour and lard (half fat to flour), throw in a couple of handfuls of mild cheddar cheese, and bind together with a little water, just don't make the pastry too sticky ! you can also add a few kibbled peanuts or mixed seeds or even suet pellets or combination. I place little bits of pastry in the shrubs and twigs and the birds flock down to eat it. You will be surprised at how many birds love pastry and you may well end up making 7 kilos a time like I do LOL !!! good luck and let us know how you get on.
