It's a coal tit
Post edit please ignore me as I was on my phone when looking at the photo
Now on a larger screen and thinking more marsh or willow tit.
I will leave to the experts, tired eyes and small screens ...that's my excuse
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
It's either a Marsh Tit or Willow Tit. Notoriously difficult to separate visually and at long range, and both species a possibility in N Yorks. I believe that Marsh Tits are more common visitors to feeding stations. Their calls are diagnostic though. Did you hear anything from the bird?
