Tits not nesting in our box this year despite doing so for last 5 years, why might this be?

Can someone explain this behaviour?

Can anybody advise if it's safe for magpies to nest on bird spikes?

We think these robins are 2 days old. Does that look right? We won't disturb them again. In fact I found them when I was about to water this pot with the hose!!!!
