Yes I know I should have learned by now but it's so much to remember at times
Wasn't usual chiffchaff behaviour and it didn't make a sound.
Help much appreciated

Great pictures Linda. The Merlin App has 1st choice Common Chiffchaff and 2nd choice Willow Warbler...
Thanks SM...what's your choice?
I would think Chiffchaff as it has darker legs, the Willow Warbler has more orange
Great set of pics Linda. Don't think I have ever seen one.
Now Mr SM , we kinda have this discussion every year...are legs really that reliable
Thanks William, it was only about 6ft away from me as I sat in my summerhouse, so was lovely to see it so close
I think WW . The first photo length of primaries and that elegant body shape made me instantly go WW along with the brow but I'm not an expert so I put it into Obsidentify and it gave in order 96% 50% 95% and 50% WW we need S on this one
Cin J
I thought WW too based on wing length having learnt from S that the CC's are much shorter!
