The only other duck in the pond (male) has recently been killed by another animal. I have lived here for 2 years and I’ve never seen any other ducks besides these two.Visited today and she did seem sad and hungry too. Do I need to try to find someone to move her? Will she survive by herself? Nearest body of water with other ducks approx a mile away- will she just migrate?
She should move on - if being fed she may be reluctant to go. Mallards tend not to form strong pair bonds.
