I have blue tits nesting in a bird box but yesterday I noticed a web and hundreds of baby spiders next to it.
I may have seen too many films where spiders swarm things and eat them but is this safe for the birds, or will they just eat the spiders if they go in the box?
Sorry for delay in answering ... the Blue Tits will be very pleased to have a handy supply of spiders to eat!
