Swan

So I don’t no much about swans and there is a swan that has been returning to an old pier outside my flat for about a week now and was just concerned maybe it’s lost or someone could re home him/her to a better place as it a derelict beach sort of (I can send pictures to those who can help as it won’t let me attach pictures bellow) and I don’t know, usually you see swans near river and ponds etc and I’m not that far from the sea and just thought this was very strange.

  • If the bird is fit and well if it was unhappy with its surroundings I would have thought it would moved on. Has it got enough room to take off, large birds like this often need a lot of room to take off but I have known them walk some distance to be able to fly off. If it seems ill at all contact RSPCA who may advise but people are wary of handling birds at the moment due to Avian Flu.
