This tame white dove has an infected beak. I wondered if it was canker or caused by an injury. I can smell the infection. She's very alert and the rest of her body is perfect, no puffing up, no shortness of breath, her other eye is perfectly clear and there's no discharge from the beak or nostrils.
We contacted the RSPB and they said it was bird flu and we weren't allowed to even touch her or take her to a vet.
Before I give up on her has anyone seen this kind of injury before? Is it bird flu as the rspb hotline stated?
Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
