The pair showed up on 13th March & were checking out the nest - here's hoping..............
Have posted all I've taken today, unedited, as I'm so excited!!! They both flew off & now Mr Kestrel has returned to nest & sitting, waiting like a spider in the middle of a web! Just going to video him

Glad you all enjoyed!
Double whammy TJ - Kestrels & sunshine, Oh lucky me!!
He's on the prowl at present looking for a tasty lunch no doubt so he can treat us to a gory moment!
I agree with the others, Wendy--definitely not bored! Gorgeous Kestrel you have there (but you knew that, didn't you?!)
Kind regards, Ann
Certainly do GB & never saw him with any yukky food, it drizzled & then I had to go hunter-gathering before we starved (Tesco -grrrr!!)
Great photos,Wendy.A lovely bird.
I would NEVER bore of seeing a Kestrel, especially handsome Mr. K. wonderful photos Wendy and all I can say is please keep 'em coming :)

Thought Mr K had deserted me, but managed to catch him on briefest of visits today in windy conditions in a difficult position too!!
My first glimpse through leaded light window..
Zooming in gradually but difficult to get clear shot as he was swaying madly...
Looked round briefly...
But mostly 'bum' shots (in more ways than one!) ...
And the inevitable vid lol - very short & very rocky but does illustrate the whooshy conditions! (Had to laugh at youtube message when I'd uploaded....'We have detected your vid may be shaky, would you like us to rectify this?') Are you wearing your wristbands?
Didn't come back with a gory breakfast to entertain us with!!
Good photos and video Wendy, you did well to get them with all that movement. Me and Mr K get on well with the wind through the branches, don't know about sitting up there tho:-)
Lot to learn
Awww, nice to know Mr. K is back again and holding on to that Conifer for dear life lol Looks like slightly better weather for weekend, fingers crossed :)
Mr K may have let us down lightly on the gory breakfast.....but he was back in full swing by lunchtime!!!
Here is a feature length vid, the longest I have ever uploaded & has taken what seems forever...
He obviously felt a bit threatened by some bird or another....kind of had to rush the last bit of whatever delicacy he was devouring!!
Thanks Wendy for a brilliant video. He definitely knows where to find a good supply of food. Maybe needs to learn some table manners though LOL
