Roofspace

I have a couple of birds building a nest in my roof. This would not normally be a problem as we have birds nests elsewhere in the roof, however, the nest is right on the ceiling of a bedroom and the noise of the birds is very loud. I have found the hole where the birds come in. I wonder what I can do? I cannot get rid of the nest as I assume chicks will hatch soon...will all the birds leave the nest at some point or do the birds live there all year round. I am not sure what sort of birds they are but possibly starlings they are not house sparrows as they are too large...they are browny, but one is more speckled. Any suggestions
