Red Breasted Goose

Good to know a big effort has been made to keep the birds in wetland centres able to fly!

I've been to both Slimbridge and Martin Mere, and think they are fabulous to visit, but have to admit wife and I both preferred Welney which is less "zoo-y". Not through any moral reason, just had a better time there :o)

We haven't been to Slimbridge, but would love to visit sometime; I agree that the attractions/exotics aren't as interesting as just tramping about and sitting in a quiet hide watching the birds on the marshes, etc....
