With persistent heavy rain today, we've stayed put for the time being so have had time to sort out a few more pics, this time our visit to the salt marsh yesterday at Morecambe Bay next to Leighton Moss RSPB. Too many photos so have whittled them down to "gone fishing" for first batch and will then add other photos following these but keep them on this same thread. !!
There were two Little Egrets about although they like to fish alone .....
Ooh.... spotted a stickleback lurking in the pool
"gotcha" !!
The spines on the back of the fish were a bit tricky so it got dropped back in the water a few times ........
There were two lovely Greenshank also wanting to fish in the same pool, one ventured to the same pool to fish .......
There were 5 Goosanders, one rather liked the prospects of the deep pool ............
look at that razor bill !
Down the hatch ........GULP !!
The Goosander started bragging to the egret ......... "my stickleback was this big" !!
Egret ........" well mine was this big " ........ so there !!
Back shortly with more photos of the beautiful Greenshanks, herons .....
