Found these pictures from late August taken in the garden near the pond. Juvenile Green Woodpecker was about for a few minutes but very wary.
Lovely bird to see in your garden; looks like it was attacked looking at the nape area in first pic. They are quite skittish birds so well done getting such good photos Tony.

Well captured Tony. I've never seen a Green Woodpecker, they tend to be Great Spotted around here ...
