I saw this small fish washed up on the high tide line in Deal, Kent. Does anyone know what species it is? I think it might be a dogfish, but I am not sure.
Also, any ideas as to the cause of its mortality? I didn't see any noticeable wounds etc on the fish, so am puzzled as to what killed it.
Looks like a nursehound, or large spotted dogfish.
