There is a major ruckus kicking off on Twitter over your alleged culling of Moles on one of your nature reserves. What is the truth behind this, please?
Simon Tucker
Very much doubt that anyone from RSPB will see this message Simon, best to email your question direct to wildlife@rspb if you want an answer!

Will do
Do let us know what they have to say?
Moles can be humanely culled.Moles are classed as vermin and can be legally culled as they are classified as Pests.
Regards,
Ian.
Tough choices (a follow up comment about values and motivations)
The above was a blog posted by the former Conservation Director of the RSPB, Martin Harper about culling certain species of wildlife in the UK and sadly culling has to be done from time to time. I take a pragmatic approach to this. Grey Squirrels are culled on a regular basis by some county wildlife trusts every year. Deer have been culled at certain woodlands and also at some wetland including some culling by the RSPB. Sometimes there’s no other way. And on the occasion of Martin Harpers blog. I did agree with him. Many times over the years I’ve been critical of the RSPB. But on this occasion I said I agreed with the RSPB. Again the link to this blog which is an old blog from the RSPB’s Community Forum.
I think this is what you are after, Simon. It is posted by RSPB so is the actual official figures.
