It's well overdue for starting. This is the link to last years thread
Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.
Best wishes

Very nice Noisette.
Had a super sightings day, three buddleias have new blooms on, sun shone and had an influx of new pristine butterfly visitors ... no pics unfortunately but saw 4 Red Admirals on one bush and 6 on another with a Peacock all at the same timecouple of large Whites plus a very fleeting Hummingbird Hawkmoth!

Great selection Mr Kes. What is the second one. It looks lovely against the golden/green background ...
What a super moth, and a very unusual colour. Well captured Noisette ...
Just to add to the ... Painted Lady this morning, was very surprised!
Sounds like an amazing influx of butterflies Wendy and great to hear you had a Painted Lady as well; grow it and they will come. !!

Thanks aitch & all ... the terrible rainstorm has hit here now but there was a HBHM feeding during a heavy shower, must be desperate!
