Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.

More lovely shots Snappy... I've never got to learn sexing butterflies except obvious differences, so can't help I'm afraid!
Thanks PB I thought I would try, not so easy though, especially when prone to misidentifying the species...
I've little enough room in my brain Snappy, I'm not going to fill it more when we have the lovely Wendy, Cin and Noisette who between them know everything lol
