It's well overdue for starting. This is the link to last years thread
Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.
Best wishes

Well I'd keep misidentifying Meadow Browns for a start
Sun appeared after rainy night/drizzly early morning and have been lucky to have been inundated with butterflies & one HBHMoth ... a rocky bit of vid to show off ... you'll need Kwells (if they're still available)

Great video Wendy :) Envious of your HBH moth, not seen one this year....
Indeed something wonderful but we need Caroline ... or PB.... to ID it/them ... great scenery, where were you Linda?
Woohoo eh I was back at Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae just chasing some sunshine lol
Thanks SM, we're lucky enough to have them visit almost daily ... they love the buddleia, red valerian & verbena bonariensis!
Had to google that place Linda, would take an hour & 25 mins for me to fly there! I don't like planes though
Perhaps a Grayling ?
