It's well overdue for starting. This is the link to last years thread
Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.
Best wishes

Very nice BD
Lovely
We had a few nice days with sunshine. Butterflies were out. Back to grey and wet today, but a few white admirals were out looking for honeysuckle in the woods.
A super find Mr K, such a strikingly different butterfly!

Stunner Mr Kes, saw my first ones last year. Hardly any been reported this year so far, and am sat here watching the rain dribble down the window, so no immediate prospect of an upturn! (Although forecast is better for tomorrow!)
Underwing is gorgeous too, if you managed to spot any!
Very nice Mr Kes, I have never seen one of those Great photo's.
Wow what a super find Mr Kes oh and lovely photos

Well spotted Mr Kes. I've never heard of a White Admiral ...
