Local lake yesterday where the Great Crested Grebe have returned and are showing signs of mating rituals. the highlight was the female catching and devouring a fish and then showing us all how big it was.

That's a tench the grebe guzzled. With a bit more refreshing of memory I may even say whether it was male or female. It's the shape of certain fins on that species of fish.
