Yesterday I had a trip over to Teesdale via Weardale and found both Barn Owls (3) and Short Eared Owls (at least4) as well as some snow.

whoo (or should I say too-wit-to-whoo). - an owl fest to start the day. Lovely photo captures showing those very focused eyes on the SEO honing in on any movement. At least "Barny" managed to find his snack.

That's an impressive selection of owls Bob. I call a good day one Barn Owl :) Never seen a Short eared Owl :(
