So as previously stated, days off often = grey/wet/windy days, and when this is the case, I don't go far. The other end of the local bit of Trailway is about 3 miles, so I pootled there, thinking that maybe, as the previous night was wet, the Barn Owls might be about
First up, Kestrel in the gloom, through the trees
A good number of Robins about again
Back end of a Stonechat
The Kestrel had gone for a little sojourn
The sun was just peeking up over the hill at the Redwing
And at the next Robin
A family of Long Tailed Tits were flitting along, taunting me
A Dunnock, proving once and for all, they're NEVER in a tree top singing(!)
A Pheasant plus his ladies
Biggest surprise of the day... Yellowhammer.... first one I've seen in a year or more
First Snowdrops I've seen whilst out and about
With the rain forecast to start about 9:30, I headed home, made a coffee, and sat in the garage observing the feeders... more spring flower... Daff (one of 4 we have lol)
And out Winter Jasmine, that the Sparrows love getting in behind
Mrs BB
Robin (one of two) The pink stuff is suet balls (from the Range) Had no takers in the feeder, but from the ground, everyone had a nibble!
Jackdaw
Mr BB
One of the Collared Doves (not keen on the garage door being open, and didn't settle)
Mrs BB playing catch
Blue Tit
Starling
2nd surprise... Lollipops!
And finally, is it me, or does this Blue Tit look likes he's been caught doing something naughty?
Thanks for looking
Stay Safe All
More fine photos, on another grey day, but fab photos.
