A few from my local reserve though a little too much water about. Still it keeps the gulls and ducks happy.

A nice selection of photos Bob, and good to cheer the soul up, with this battleship grey sky we have down here.
I notice the teal is a green winged teal.

Lovely set Bob, I thought the moors were your local lol Always amazed by intricacy of a drake Gadwall's plumage.
Mike, I think it's a standard Teal, on a green winged the white bar is vertical, not horizontal (I just read lol)

Haha - yes. Turn right out of the village and I'm on the moors but this little reserve is 20 minutes downstream of where we live (for now). Hopefully the water levels will drop soon and we might get some waders in.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Lynn L said:As ever Bob, a lovely selection of photos. I love the Drake Gadwall in the 3rd photo, coming to land, taking off, having a wing flap? Along with the reflection in the water.
Thank you Catlady, He had just had a nice spruce up on Mrs G's behalf - she was hiding in the reeds.
I appreciate the info. I was going on an ID from someone else a while back, so I'll correct my photo from a previous post, if I can find it.

Cheers Bob. As I mentioned to PB earlier, I had been wrongly advised some time back, so I'll dig out my posting and correct the ID.
