Spam-tastic

So after having a wee look at the latest spammers it was alarming to discover 12 folk joined a day ago as you can see

Out of these 12 folk 8 are spam!!!..just because some don't post a link it's all there on their "about" page !!

It's ridiculous that these all go undetected unless by the RSPB

It's like a free advertising place for anything and everything

From Essay writing to Escorts!!

It's a disgrace

Rant Over :-]

  • Moorhens have amazing feet! I love photographing them.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • This has appeRed on my ipad- worring cant connect.Using  uIpbone .

    Regards,

    Ian.

  • Seems like you are using Microsoft Edge Ian. Hope this helps

What does it mean when it says your connection is not private attackers might be trying to steal your information?
For starters, it's important to know that seeing the error is just a warning, and it does not mean any of your private information is compromised. A “your connection is not private” error means the website you were trying to visit does not have an up-to-date SSL (secure sockets layer) security certificate.

    And Here: us.norton**LINK BOCKED**/.../your-connection-is-not-private

  • My link was blocked I will try to copy & paste
The “your connection is not private” error only pertains to sites that are running over HTTPS (or should be running over HTTPS). When you visit a website, your browser sends a request to the server where the site is hosted. The browser then has to validate the certificate installed on the site to ensure it is up to current privacy standards. Other things that also take place include the TLS handshake, the certificate being checked against the certificate authority, and decryption of the certificate.
If the browser finds that the certificate isn’t valid, it will automatically try to prevent you from reaching the site. This feature is built into web browsers to protect the user. If the certificate isn’t set up correctly, this means data can’t be encrypted properly and therefore the site is unsafe to visit (especially those with logins or that process payment information). Instead of loading the site, it will deliver an error message, such as “your connection is not private.”
  • I’ve managed to get my iPad working again

    Regards,

    Ian.

  • Iv Just Caught up with the rest of the thread.  I find this quiet strange. On page 25 I Tell peewit  no ones ganging up on her or  being mean to her and I tell her the reason people are reporting her and that we are who we are and we arnt fake

but then on page 26 she asks the question what is claire reporting her for to give her peace of mind. the question what people are reporting her for was answered on the previous page  in reality she wouldnt of been comfused or still be confused  if she read the comment so unless she hadn’t  read my comment  then she would of had  peace of mind already on the next page knowing why Claire was reporting her

And if that’s comfuseing enough she still thinks I’m HJ even though I’m not and then later on in the thread  she thinks Terminator is a relation to me and then she calls Terminator HJ aswell.  None of it makes any sense

  • I had just typed out a long detailed post that my fear that this forum might be hacked again as it has been twice years ago. I had typed my worries about this. Then the whole of my post had typed out had frozen and then disappeared. I’m going to log out until Tuesday at the earliest until the offices at the Lodge re-open on Tuesday. I don’t mean the reserve itself which will open with the shop and cafe open. But the RSPB’s headquarter management and senior staff offices won’t be back o pen until Tuesday of this week as Bank Holiday Monday tomorrow. I will post maybe after Tuesday when the management hopefully be available as I am worried about the security on this forum at present!

    Regards,

    Ian.

  • And of course guess who’s liked my link. Well I’m not surprised! See you all on Tuesday of this week!

    Regards,

    Ian.

  • The community hasn't been hacked Ian it's just a glitch in the software, my main account is having problems, everytime I try to post it comes up with a message that it needs moderating due to being flagged as spam or abusive, they've looked into if and can't see me being reported.
I'm dealing with someone called Emily who is back on the 5th so will mention the link problem to her.

  • Is this only this morning this has happened or did it happen yesterday?
