An Afternoon Walk at The Haugh

Just had to get out a walk yesterday and what better place than our local...although as sun was out so were plenty folk and their dogs so decided not to visit the hides and just walk up the Clyde to Carbarns Pool.

Gotta walk through woodland then down a field to get to the Clyde....

Nice new additions of bird boxes and bat boxes had been put up in the woodlands...

I soooo need/want a couple of these!

Over the field nothing to see other than this poor bedraggled butterfly

No dippers in the Clyde

So onto Carabarns pool

Got greeted with lots of incoming noise...

Greylag Geese!

Then memory card was full..God darn it so missed them landing lol

Och it was still nice to watch them all coming in

Saw all the Goosanders on walk back down the Clyde...they ain't babies anymore...counted 12 of them but the were busy diving away from noisy dogs!!

Finally managed 1!

Just one of those days and as I had my last glance doon the Clyde I heard my little friend call then zoom past...you know the one that makes us smile

He stopped briefly no doubt to laugh at me as always

Then off he went

It's little moment like that that make your day.

Sorry it ain't much this time but we all know what birdwatching can be like!

(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
