I think we just had a Hoopoes in our garden this morning in Plymouth on the South coast.

Seems pretty rare, think we were very lucky.

sorry the pictures are not great as I didn’t realise what we were looking at until after it left

Great to see a hoopoe in your garden Paul, the last one that I heard about was one in West Yorkshire and it was on a cricket pitch and I got talking to a chap who made a special journey to photograph it and he showed me the photos he had taken on his camera, I would love to see one myself. Thanks for sharing your photo.
