After yet another successful year on the Odds & Sods thread, initially started I think by Hazy, it might be wise to kickstart the 2023 thread off.

Yet another red deer stag. This one was quite special as it rose up out of nowhere right next to me on the woodland path on Friday. The closest I've been and luckily the rut has finished otherwise I may have been in trouble.
Wow! That is close. As you say, good job the rut is over, otherwise you never know what you might have got ... . Superb shot Bob ...
