There'll be a face-off between the song thrush(es) and the blackbird(s) for those rowan berries.

But if Waxwings appear (and if the berries have lasted that long) be prepared for disappointed thrushes of all species. They'll strip the berries in minutes.

What do you mean "if"? It's Linda's garden and if she wishes it, it will happen lol

I think my trees need to mature first so might be a few years before the Waxwings arrive lol..however there are plenty berries growing up the fence and in-between the conifers for the resident birds for now....with some time and 'patience' (which PB really doesn't have lol) the Waxwings will come visit ;-)

I opened the patio door last night to look for my gorgeous girl to give her some chicken and sat about 5ft infront of me was the badger....never seen it sat down before...was obviously wanting to get in queue before the fox...got the fright of my life when I looked down and saw it lol...obviously I threw the chicken at it and quickly closed the door again lol....about 20 mins later it was on my decking with its nose to the patio door along with another badger....was absolutely wonderful to see them so close....I waited until they moved onto the grass and threw them some chopped pear....
so much for them being shy!!! Happy to report my gorgeous girl did get fed eventually aswell...I only feed when I see the fox or badgers now as there is a black cat that has been very stupidly coming into my garden...it will learn....eventually ;-)

As long as nowt else comes chapping at the door BD for food....don't mind a blether as that's free ;-)

Lol..well because they were so close a didn't wanna use the camera as would need to use the flash ..different when am upstairs at bedroom window pointing down as their eyes are looking at the ground..just thinking of them and not being selfish...for a change lol
