We have another wee dusting this evening
Been cold here but its been lovely sitting out in the Sparrowhawk hide with the doors wide open an the sun shining in...until a wee cheeky RRB flew in and joined me....a got the fright of my life lol....he flapped about for 30 seconds or so then flew back out again safely....thankfully!

Thanks ILR..its lovely to have the songthrush back ...woodpeckers get confused when you move the feeders around due to the pesky squirrels! ;-)

That’s interesting. Did you get the gale force winds or did you miss it?

Nope ..a little wind yesterday but nothing gusty. Woke up to very little dusting this morning. Then sun and rain melted it that now heavy snow. ..
We are used to 4 seasons in one day in Scotland ;-)

Ok. That’s lucky where I was it was not just gusty it was over the top gale force winds it made a right racket. If it got any windier I swear it would of turned into a tornado or hurricane. Swung the window open by itself and chucked the roof off and of possibly raining any garden birds that get caught in it. I went out in the gale force winds though. Hills under peaks I don’t recommend unless yoy don’t mind it. I found the birds and the garden birds were hideing cause of it they started to come out when things calmed down. For me I had sleet rather than snow but it was last week but this week there hadn’t been any again so far. Its been mainly rain and sun and the gale force winds have calmed down.

Same as us today Linda, showers off and on, and it is windy and cold. The snow that we had last week has started to thaw now, thankfully, quite Icy under the snow as well, which made difficult walking. Your birdies will be loving the food the moment, oh, and the foxes. Will update my thread with some photos.
