So today we opted for the Isle of Great Cumbrae...A drive down the coast to Largs then 10 mins on the ferry.
I have never been on a ferry never mind drive the car on one ahhh! Lol
It was nearly here to collect us
I was brave and got out the car and climbed the stairs in the wind and rain to have a look around
Dry land here we come!!!
It was drizzly and a tad windy but what the hell had to park up and walk to see what was around
Carrotbills everywhere
As where Curlew
As we drove further round there was a field full of Curlew and Oystercatcher but nowhere to stop for a pic :-(
Redshank up next
Black-headed Gull having its own bath
Turnstone..a 1st lol
PBs pals aplenty
Here comes the rain
Rubbish with gulls sorry :-(
Starling
Curlew had enough of me
Herring Gull? Youngish
Cormorants are offski
Wee chaffi
Another 1st lol Rock pipit
More Redshank
Last stop was up to the highest point where a found the Geese
And that concludes wee day out to Cumbrae
Hope you all enjoyed.....I think a will wait for better weather before I return ;-)
Thanks for looking
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Dull day weatherwise, but not a dull day photo and wildlife wise, and I loved the artwork on the fallen tree trunk.
