caught this Red Throated Dive on the river at Amble, Northumberland yesterday.It really did nothing but bob about on the water though its head was active enough. Unfortunately not sure if it was just resting after a couple of days of very strong wind or whether it might be suffering from the avian flu. Lets hope that my best ever pictures of a Red Throated Diver are a result of the former not the latter - the 800mm lens does help though
