Another side to Slimbridge is their collection of captive birds, some native UK birds and many from around the world as part of their conservation projects.
Captive Avocet.
Ruff.
Eider Duck
Flamingos are not all the same size.
Creative ways of taking the weight off your neck.
Then back to bickering.
Did I see someone with food?
Does my beak look bigger side on?
Emperor Geese.
Bufflehead Duck.
The worlds smallest Swan, the Coscoroba Swan, about the size of a Goose.
Black-necked swan
This picture is from my archive, taken 5 years ago in Chile.
It's not all birds, the North American River Otter.
These are only a few of the many species from around the world at Slimbridge and we had a thoroughly entertaining time there, both in the Conservation Areas and out and about on the reserve.
Hope you enjoyed our memories of it.

Lot to learn

I definitely enjoyed your memories of Slimbridge, the more exotic side, as well as the others.
