I thought I would start a new thread dedicated to our beautiful Birds of Prey and hope you will share all your fabulous pics of them aswell ......
Please feel free to add your pics
I will kick it off with one of my regulars...Jock the Sprawk
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Thanks Snappy. Yes in between the clouds a bit of blue sky. I believe if you regularly play the right ELO song on repeat it helps....
I think someone has been playing ' Raindrops keep falling on my head', a lot around here lately ....
I don't often get much of a chance to grab a decent BoP piccie, the last being June 2023 with the juv kestrels. This next photo is a taste of something to come, once I've finished whittling the 198 pics down to an acceptable number... I'm struggling, but it was a beaut of a red kite...
It was a beaut,
Mike

Well done Mike. It is a beaut! ... and a crackin' blue sky too ...
Marsh Harrier - RSPB Fowlmere:
Buzzard - RSPB Sandy:
Little owls nesting in a hole in a tree in the local valley this morning. One had a gammy eye (the male I think) but didn't seem to bother him. Presumably they just adapt.
Very nice Bob, only seen a little owl once
There used to 7 families in the valley that I knew of. The last year though they all became very elusive for some odd reason. Some may have passed away I guess but they do have a decent lifespan.

Thank you BD.
Yes, the first of a good stint of sunny days.
